JOURNEY TO RECLAIM MY HERITAGE

The photograph above is THE GOOD FAMILY gathering in Dayton, Ohio in 1929 for a family reunion. Present besides many aunts, uncles and cousins were grandparents, great grandparents and great great grandparents.

WEBSITE SECTION DEDICATION

My Uncle, My Great Grandfather and 1st Cousin in approximately mid to late 1930's

This web site section is dedicated to:

The MARX, WEIKERT, GOOD, STEINMETZ, SLIFE and ELSTRO Families that are a part of my heritage but in most cases I never had the opportunity to meet and be a part of the family. It was my loss and not theirs as they never knew I existed. It is a hope of mine that through this section of my web site as well as the section MATERNAL FAMILY GENEALOGY will raise the hopes of others, for whatever reason, not allowed to know their birth families and heritage growing up may be able to find them and maybe get to know them later in life. It takes time and great effort but it can be done!

It is also dedicated to a person you will only know as HOPE. This is the name I found her under and unless given permission by her to use her real name I use it here. She has provided the vast overwhelming majority of photographs, obituaries and grave stones for the Good, Steinmetz, Slife and Elstro family lines and I am forever grateful to her as I would never have been able to obtain them.
