This letter came out of the blue, that is; it was not expected. I had only met Fr. Peter once during a visit back to Boys Town in 1998. He had invited former members of the Boys Town Concert Choir to return home to sing the mass commemorating the 50th anniversary of Fr. Flanagan's death on May 15, 1948. He retired from his position as Exuctive Director of the home in July 2005, after 20 years of service. He remains at Boys Town as Director Emeritus and Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church which is on the campus of Boys Town.
